White Lodging at Purdue's Boiler Up Bar – Union Club Hotel is seeking a friendly bartender to deliver high-quality service to guests, know the menu, and provide thoughtful recommendations. You will maintain a clean bar, handle payments, and work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

This on-site role requires energy for long shifts, weekend and holiday availability, and a can-do attitude. We offer Day 1 benefits, 401(k) matching, and opportunities to grow across our hotels.

Responsibilities

• Know menu items, preparation methods, and garnishes; answer guest questions.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with food and drink quality and presentation.
• Process payments and complete end-of-shift paperwork.
• Promote teamwork and a safe work environment.
• Check IDs and monitor overservice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality service to all guests, creating personal connections through friendly conversation, intuitive suggestions, and engaging surroundings.
• Maintain high cleaning standards of the bar and complete daily cleaning and side work.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes; accurately answer guest questions.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with food and drink quality and presentation.
• Process all payment methods and complete end-of-shift paperwork.
• Promote teamwork and contribute to creating a friendly and safe work environment.
• Check identification of all guests and monitor beverage consumption to prevent overservice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
