Job summary

Cherokee Nation Businesses is seeking an Apprentice Bartender at Gold Strike Casino in Mississippi. In this hourly, full-time role, you will assist the bartender with drinks, garnishes, and setup while helping maintain a clean, well-stocked bar area.

You will interact with guests, handle basic POS transactions, follow health and safety rules, and be flexible with schedule including weekends and holidays. Prior resort or casino experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as an apprentice bartender.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of beverages, garnish preparation, and basic bartending techniques.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bartender with drinks, garnishes, and preparation.

• Ensure stock and proper labeling of items and supplies.

As an Apprentice Bartender, you will be responsible for assisting the bartender and maintaining the appearance of the bar.

Position: Hourly, Full-Time
Location: Gold Strike Casino

Responsibilities

PRINCIPALDUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assistthebartenderwith the preparationofdrinks,mixes,and garnishes.

Maintainthecleanliness,sanitation,andappearanceofthebar area.

Maintainsufficientstockofallitemsandproductsindesignatedwork areas.

Ensurepropersetup,labeling,stocking,anddeliveryofalcohol, and non ‐ alcoholicbeverages,supplies,glasses,paperproducts, garnishes, and ice.

Cleanequipment,tools, and supplies,polishglasswareandensureequipmentisinworking order.

Promoteandmaintainthehighestlevelofservicetoallguestswhilestayingalerttotheirneeds andrespondingeffectivelyto guest inquiries.

Resolveguestcomplaintswithin the scopeofauthority;otherwise,referthemattertomanagement, and notify the supervisorand/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

One(1)yearofexperienceasanapprenticebartender (preferably inasimilarresort setting).

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS,AND ABILITIES:

Abilitytomulti ‐ taskandworkwellinafast - paced,team ‑ oriented environment.

Knowledgeableofmenuitems,includingmixingandservingbeverages,standardbeveragerecipes,preparationmethods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies, and equipment.

Knowledgeofhealth,safety,andsanitation regulations.

KnowledgeableofcomputersandPointofSale(POS) systems.

Excellentcustomerserviceskillsandinterpersonalskillstoeffectivelycommunicatewithallbusiness contacts.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
