Job summary

Fernley Pioneers, LLC is seeking a Bartender to deliver beverage service in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner at our casino venue.

You will handle cash, memorize the menu, prepare drinks, and ensure guest satisfaction while complying with all laws and safety standards.

Strong English communication, basic math, and the ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-year bartending experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in verbal and written English language.
• High School level math.
• Ability to operate the cash register, soda gun, liquor gun, blender, knife, corkscrew, telephone, and ice scoop.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items and casino services.
• Gaming card.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:1-year bartending experience preferred.
Language Ability:

• Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language.

Math Ability:

• High School level math. Adding, subtracting.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to work effectively with co-workers, management and guests of the casino.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, meets deadlines, and performs duties with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate the cash register, soda gun, liquor gun, blender, knife, corkscrew, telephone, and ice scoop.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items and casino services.
• Ability to memorize all available drinks, as well as how to make each drink.

Certificates and Licenses:

• Gaming card.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, lift or carry goods weighing up to fifty pounds on a continuous schedule.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and awkward positions, requiring standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead for extended periods of time.
• Manual dexterity of hand in order to use corkscrew, knives, and ice scoop.
• Ability to walk up to a half a mile per shift and perform duties in confined space.
