Duties and Expectations
- Guest Relations: Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile. Use the guests’ names whenever possible, ensuring they feel properly welcomed.
- Guest Satisfaction: All team members work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores.
- Recovery: Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency.
- Hotel Knowledge: Know all features of the hotel and amenities.
- Events: Support all groups and events at the hotel.
- Technology: Understand relevant technology for your role.
- Phone Etiquette: Answer calls with friendly service and the approved greeting.
- Spotless Cleanliness: Keep all areas, front and back of house, clean and organized.
- Pitching In: Team effort in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
- Hospitality While Cleaning: Greet guests cheerfully while cleaning.
- Product Consistency & Quality: Complete checklists accurately and timely; ensure shift handover reports are precise.
- Uniform: Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, wear a nametag, and smile.
- Communication: Maintain clear, honest, and professional communication.

Section Two: Role Specific Duties and Expectations
The Bartender provides customized beverage service in a friendly, energetic, and timely manner, ensuring guests have a great or relaxing time at the bar. Must communicate effectively and multitask.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and describe food and beverage options clearly.
- Maintain proper setup of the bar area.
- Stock beverages, garnishes, and perishables; manage inventory.
- Mix, garnish, and serve drinks following recipes and portion control.
- Attend departmental meetings monthly.
- Use POS system accurately for orders and payments.
- Handle cash, make change, and balance cash at shift end.
- Secure and store beverages and equipment properly.
- Sanitize and clean the bar area regularly.
- Complete daily side work and inventory prep.
- Know current menu offerings and promote drinks.
- Follow food safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining restaurant cleanliness.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hotel hours and amenities.
- Work effectively with service and kitchen teams.
Section Three: Success Metrics
Guest satisfaction, cleanliness, product quality, and teamwork are assessed via management ratings, reviews, checklists, and inspections.
Section Four: Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in hospitality or related fields preferred; knowledge of drink prep advantageous.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Follow instructions, meet deadlines, and provide friendly service.
- Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Punctuality and proper clock-in/out procedures required.
