Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar by performing the following duties.
Takes orders from customers or Bar Waiter/Waitress. Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serves wine and draught or bottled beer. Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies. Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display. Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels, and nuts. Follows and abides by hotel and departmental policies and procedures. Abides by Colorado liquor laws. Maintains general appearance of the premises. Requisitions/stocks/and prepares products. Sets up pouring stations, bar and back bar. Fills orders given by waitress at service station. Services customers at bar. Issues cash tickets at beginning of shift and as needed. Sets up cash register at beginning of shift. Rings tickets through register. Empties trash. Closes bar. Works door when necessary. Sets up reservations as required (i.e. Seating arrangements, extra tables and chairs). Must know and enforce room policies. Knowledge of state liquor laws and the enforcement of them. Help with clean up at the end of the shift.
Must be 21 years of age. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must frequently push and/or pull 100+ pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
