JOB SUMMARYThe Bartender/Casino Attendant serves as a primary point of contact for customers and plays a key role in creating a positive and welcoming experience. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, operating gaming machines in accordance with applicable regulations, handling cash transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment.The successful candidate demonstrates honesty, integrity, professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to Mountain View Co-op's values and customer service standards. This position may require working evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPReports to the Location Manager or other management personnel as designated by the Company.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide exceptional customer service to customers, vendors, and guests.Create a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all patrons.Report to work fit for duty and maintain professional appearance standards.Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.Communicate operational concerns and customer feedback to management.Stock and replenish beer, wine, liquor, mixers, ice, glassware, and related supplies.Verify customer age and identification in accordance with Montana alcohol beverage laws.Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.Process customer orders and payments accurately using point-of-sale systems.Handle cash, checks, credit cards, and other approved forms of payment.Maintain confidentiality of customer information and transactions.Operate gaming equipment and perform duties in compliance with all applicable gaming regulations and company policies.Monitor gaming activity and process payouts according to established procedures.Obtain required customer documentation for gaming payouts when applicable.Maintain accurate records and transaction reconciliations.Follow Mountain View Co-op cash handling and credit policies.Promote current programs, specials, and marketing initiatives.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, casino, customer areas, and workspaces.Assist with facility upkeep and minor maintenance activities as assigned.Follow all company safety policies and promote a safe work environment.Comply with all Mountain View Co-op policies, including workplace conduct, safety, alcohol service, and drug and alcohol policies.Perform other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIESKnowledge and understanding of:Customer service principles and practicesCash handling proceduresBasic mathematicsPoint-of-sale systemsAlcohol service requirementsGaming operations and regulationsSafety policies and proceduresAbility to:Deliver outstanding customer service.Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.Handle confidential information appropriately.Resolve issues professionally and respectfully.Work independently and as part of a team.Follow verbal and written instructions.Maintain accuracy when handling money and transactions.Adapt to changing business needs and work schedules.Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequired:Must be legally eligible to serve alcoholic beverages under Montana law.Ability to accurately handle cash and customer transactions.Ability to obtain and maintain any permits, certifications, or licenses required for the position.Ability to pass any pre-employment requirements applicable to the position.Preferred:High School diploma or GEDPrevious bartending experience.Previous casino, gaming, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience.Experience operating point-of-sale systems.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Physical Demands:Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.Ability to read printed materials and computer screens.Ability to operate a point-of-sale system and gaming equipment.Ability to frequently stand and walk throughout a shift.Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and climb occasionally.Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds.Working Conditions:Work is primarily performed in a bar and casino environment.Exposure to varying noise levels from customers, gaming machines, and business operations.May involve evening, weekend, holiday, and special event work schedules.DISCLAIMERThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
