Job Description

The Bartender position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external customers. The role involves serving beverages to guests at Belterra Casino Resort and supporting cocktail servers while maintaining excellent customer relations.

The 19 Steakhouse Bartender Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional customer service, positively engaging with customers and colleagues, and handle difficult situations with resilience.
2. Maintain organization of company funds and equipment.
3. Pour drinks accurately according to established recipes and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
4. Ensure compliance with 'Project 21 – Minors in Casino.'
5. Demonstrate knowledge of product offerings and ordering procedures.
6. Monitor and maintain proper par levels of supplies at the bar.
7. Report any issues or situations detrimental to the casino to the supervisor.
8. Handle the security and accuracy of the assigned bank, being accountable for any overages or shortages.
9. Open and close the bar following established procedures.
10. Supervise and provide work direction to bar attendants.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in mixing a wide variety of drinks.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of bar equipment operation.
• Ability to oversee cocktail servers.
• Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications per federal, state, and gaming regulations.
• Indiana ABC Permit (Liquor License) required.
• Previous bartending experience required.
• Minimum age of 21 years.

The position typically requires completing an accredited bartending course or having at least two years of high-volume cocktail service experience, preferably in a hotel or casino environment.
