Job Description

The Bartender at Belterra Casino Resort is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external customers, including beverage service to guests and cocktail servers, ensuring excellent customer relations.

The 19 Steakhouse Bartender

• Provide exceptional customer service, positively engaging with customers and team members, and handle difficult interactions professionally.
• Maintain company funds and equipment properly.
• Pour drinks per established recipes, keep a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with “Project 21 – Minors in Casino.”
• Demonstrate product offerings and ordering procedures.
• Monitor supply levels at assigned bars.
• Report any issues detrimental to the casino to the supervisor.
• Manage the security and accuracy of the assigned bank, responsible for any overages or shortages.
• Open and close the bar following established procedures.
• Supervise and direct bar attendants.

Qualifications

• Ability to mix a wide variety of drinks.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of bar equipment operation.
• Ability to supervise cocktail servers.
• Must obtain and maintain licenses/certifications as required by Federal, State, and Gaming regulations, including an Indiana ABC Permit.
• Previous bartending experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Skills are typically acquired through completing an accredited bartending course or two years of high-volume cocktail service experience, preferably in a hotel or casino environment.
