Job summary

Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course is seeking friendly, fast‑paced beverage service team members. You will prepare and pour drinks, operate the POS system, and maintain a clean workstation while providing fast, professional service to guests and colleagues.

The role requires a High School diploma and ability to read and communicate in English. You must follow safety guidelines and work well with others in a busy racino environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to guests and beverage servers.
• Prepare and pour drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe.
• Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils as required by safety guidelines.
• Rings up orders on the POS system and handles cash accurately.
• Work well with team members such as beverage servers and bartenders.

• Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.


• Promotes events and programs.

• Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicates with beverage servers, and presents drinks to guests or servers as required


• Slices and pits fruit as required.


• Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.


• Operates a cash register/POS System, rings proper amount into the register and gives the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedures; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.


• Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor.


• Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines.

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by PENN Entertainment, Inc. auto insurance carrier.
