Friendship Village Retirement Community in Waterloo, IA is seeking a friendly part-time bartender who focuses on building relationships with residents while serving beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, with care and professionalism.

You will maintain bar inventory, keep the area clean, and ensure compliance with local liquor laws. Previous bartending experience is preferred and applicants must pass pre-employment screenings.

Friendship Village is looking for a part-time bartender who goes beyond just serving drinks to our residents; someone who enjoys talking with seniors and loves getting to know and build relationships with the people they serve. As a bartender you are responsible for the serving of beverages, both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic, beers and wine, typically no mixed drinks. You will assist with maintaining all aspects of the bar including sufficient inventory and supplies to run effectively, ensure the bar is kept clean and all quality/safety standards are followed; and adhere to all local, state and federal liquor laws. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, and able to work in an ever changing fast‑paced environment. May assist with serving and other areas within the Dining team.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Previous bartending experience preferred
