Job summary

Murano is seeking a Senior Living Bartender to support residents and create a respectful, dignified atmosphere. The role emphasizes no late nights and a friendly, team-oriented environment within a senior living community in Seattle, WA.

Both full-time and part-time shifts are described, with a strong focus on service excellence. Qualifications include at least two years of bartender experience, 21+ age, and required state food handling certificates.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas.

  • Support service staff and assist with inventories.
  • Follow maintenance and cleaning schedules and document needs.
  • Provide courteous, professional communication with residents and families.

Our Bartenders:
Service Provision:
  • Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Maintains knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available.
  • Maintains knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of our wine/ champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
  • Maintains knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of our beers and spirits/liquors.
  • Maintains knowledge of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes for each drink.
  • Maintains knowledge of and strictly abides by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and serving alcohol in a safe manner.
  • Maintains a professional and positive attitude with other departments and their staffs.
  • Assists service staff by fulfilling all service requests.
  • Assists with weekly/monthly inventories.
  • Follows the daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance program and cleaning schedule and properly documents maintenance needs on work orders...
  • Maintains knowledge of service standards as they relate to table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and company dress code.
  • Obtains assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Keep bank secure at all times.
Risk Management:
  • Understands and abides by all company policies and procedures
  • Adheres to all health department, sanitation, and safety practices.
  • Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
  • Understands and abides by all emergency procedures.
  • Understands proper storage of all food, supplies, and chemical safety.
  • Reports all concerns for equipment repairs or hazardous issues immediately to supervisor.
  • Has current CPR certification.
Customer Service:
  • Anticipates guests’ needs, responds promptly and acknowledges all guests, however busy.
  • Maintains positive guest relations at all times.
  • Is familiar with our community’s services and features and responds to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Participates in resolving guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
If you are someone with:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have two (2) years experience as a Bartender.
  • Must have the proper state-required food handling certificate.
  • Must have an excellent knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards.
  • A certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service, is preferred.
  • A certification in an alcohol awareness program is required.
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and have good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Has excellent math skills.
  • Has excellent verbal communication skills and good written communication skills
  • Communicates with 1) persons who are aging or who might have dementia, 2) resident’s family members, 3) co-workers, and 4) supervisors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Able to use good judgment in resolving problems.
  • Maintains company standard related to attendance, punctuality, and dress code.

Actual pay rate within stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves regular standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Frequent bending, carrying, and reaching are part of the day-to-day activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
