Job summary

Wet Willie's in Ventura is seeking a bartender with high-volume experience who can proficiently craft standard cocktails and house specialties. You will deliver courteous service to guests, servers, and drink-runners from the service bar while maintaining bar stock and glassware to support a fast-paced environment.

You will lead by example, participate in training sessions, and help ensure guest satisfaction while upholding safety and responsible serving standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume bar environment.
• Ability to identify and manage guests who may be overserved.
• References will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently prepare standard cocktails and house specialties.
• Provide courteous service to guests, servers, and drink-runners at the bar.
• Maintain bar par stock levels, glassware, and garnishes.
• Attend all pre-meal and training sessions as scheduled.
• Follow bartender checklists and restock as needed.
• Support cocktail servers and ensure guest satisfaction.

Job description

To be proficient in standard cocktails, and quickly master house specialty cocktails.

To provide efficient, courteous service to Discovery's guests, as well as, servers & drink-runners via the service bar.

To be a leader for fellow crewmembers, helping where possible to deliver a level of service unlike any other in Ventura.

To constantly improve - never becoming complacement with the status quo.

To build relationships with Discovery's guests and provide an interactive experience where your knowledge and understanding of Discovery's products are displayed with every interaction you have with the guest.

To identify and never over-serve guests who may have had too much to drink and immediately request the service of our door greeters and supervisors.

To never drink on the job.

To assist cocktail server whenever possible.

To maintain par stock levels of beer, wine and liquor.

To set up the bar with necessary glassware.

To maintain par stock of garnishes and other necessary items.

To attend all pre-meal and training sessions as scheduled.

To follow bartender checklist.

Restock bar according to checklists.

Requirements

High-volume experience and abilities a MUST!
