Job summary

The Fenway Hotel in Dunedin, FL is seeking an experienced bartender to prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, manage bar inventory, and provide guests with exceptional service in line with Marriott Autograph Collection standards.

You will take orders, craft drinks, handle payments, train on new recipes, maintain a clean bar, and collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure speedy, accurate service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher.
• 1 year or more bartending experience required.
• General knowledge of cocktail crafting and mixology fundamentals.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and cash handling skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to use technology e.g. computer, POS, etc..

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Engage guests with a welcoming, knowledgeable, and energetic presence.
• Take orders accurately and prepare beverages according to guest preferences.
• Report to work punctually, well-groomed, and in appropriate attire.
• Curate guests’ bar experience by making recommendations.
• Address customer concerns or complaints calmly and promptly.
• Collaborate with servers and culinary staff to ensure timely and seamless service for food and beverage items.
• Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings, including ingredients, preparations, and accompaniments.
• Participate in setting up and breaking down the bar for daily service or special events.
• Continually train on new products and recipes.
• Collect payment for food and beverages served while ensuring accurate cash handling, POS transactions, and reconciliation of cash bank and receipts.
• Follow TIPS practices to ensure safe and responsible serving of alcohol.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, tools, garnishes, equipment, and supplies.
• Manage inventory by monitoring par levels, restocking items, and reporting shortages to management.
• Address customer concerns or complaints calmly and promptly.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.
• Hotel Performance Ensure successful performance by assisting guests with an exceptional experience to ensure high performing scores on the GSS according to Marriott and Mainsail/Fenway standards.

Summary

Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, managing bar inventory, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and providing excellent customer service by interacting with guests and processing payments. Key duties include checking customer identification, stocking supplies, and collaborating with other staff to service guests while adhering to health and safety regulations. The bartender is expected to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Marriott Autograph Collection standards under the franchise of Mainsail Lodging & Development.

Essential Job Functions

24 hour Operation Info:

NOTICE: The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All employees must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift as business demands. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
