Job summary

Valor Hospitality seeks a bartender to join our team in the United States. You will mix drinks, serve guests, and uphold brand standards while maximizing profitability. This role requires a focus on guest satisfaction and accurate cash handling in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 months in food/beverage service, strong English skills, and the ability to read and follow safety procedures. Training provided, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 months experience in a food/beverage services environment.
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines and safety controls.
• Provide cordial, efficient, and professional guest service with a focus on satisfaction.
• Check customer IDs to confirm drinking age.
• Ring guest checks and process payments per company policies.
• Prepare liquor requisitions and maintain supply lists.
• Know liquor laws and obtain Tips certification.
• Maintain established pars and par levels.
• Complete side work tasks as scheduled.

The Role

POSITION PROFILE

Responsible for set-up, mixing of drinks, service and clean-up of bar area while enduring quality service, guest satisfaction and the achievement/maintenance of company standards and profit maximization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES

• Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards.
• Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner; maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Check customer’s identification to confirm that the customer is of drinking age.
• Ring guest checks; collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by company policies and procedures.
• Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists.
• Know and comply with state liquor laws and obtain Tips certification.
• Ensure established pars are maintained.
• Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Three - Six months experience in a food/beverage services environment or establishment.
• Must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions.
• Able to mix cocktails correctly
• Able to provide wine service
• Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.
• Able to read, speak and understand English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to lift, push, carry 20 - 40 lbs. Stand continuously for long periods of time. Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
