Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership is seeking a friendly Bartender to greet guests, take drink orders, pour beverages, and ensure every guest enjoys a safe, memorable experience at our bar. The role supports hospitality standards and collaborates with team members to maintain a clean, welcoming space during busy shifts.

This position requires adherence to responsible alcohol service, the ability to stand for extended periods, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Availability to work various shifts, holidays and weekends.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
• Commitment to guest safety and responsible alcohol service.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with guests, answers questions, takes orders, delivers drinks, and ensures guest satisfaction.
• Ensures alcohol is served responsibly by adherence to service limits and portion controls.
• Prepares drink orders using specified recipes and measuring systems.
• Validates guest age prior to serving alcohol.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas and bar, and assists other departments as needed.
• Maintains bar equipment, tables, and tools in good condition following setup guidelines.

As a Bartender, a typical day will include:

• Greets and interacts with guests, answers questions, takes orders, delivers drinks, and ensures guest satisfaction.

• Ensure alcohol is served responsibly by adhering to service limits and portion control processes.

• Prepares drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems.

• Validate that all guests meet the minimum age to be served alcohol prior to serving.

• Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.

• Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.

• Maintains cleanliness and condition of the bar (CO2 lines, soda tanks, soda guns, drain, etc.), tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.

Guest Experience and Company Standards

• Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.

• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.

• Contribute to team goals.

• Always follow company policies and safety procedures.

To Become a Bartender at HVC:

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.

• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 25lbs without assistance.

• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
