About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the RUNWAY BAR AND GRILL.

Duties

1. Mixes and serves all types of alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks to order, following a variety of established recipes.
2. Keeps the bar area clean and stocked.
3. Delivers drinks directly to customers or bar waiters.
4. Receives cash payments or charges to members' accounts.
5. Washes and sanitizes glasses and other bar equipment.
6. Prepares a variety of garnishes for mixed drinks.
7. May include stocking a service or portable bar and serving catered parties from the service or portable bar.
8. Assists in taking inventory and maintaining records on popular demand drinks and liquors.
9. Operates a cash register, accepts money, and makes change.
10. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
11. Performs other duties as required.

To qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience includes paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work through programs like Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and other organizations. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualification is based on education, transcripts are required.

Qualifying Experience:

Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, including knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and the ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit, as well as the ability to mix exotic drinks. Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve problems using Dram Law Theory. Must follow cash handling procedures and meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
