The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has been educating, inspiring, and providing enjoyment to our community for over 100 years. Our Food Services team is in search of people who are passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience. Under direct supervision by full time and part time staff members, position carries out appropriate techniques and practices set in place by Bar Leader and Managers in order to serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at catering events and concessions standsAdheres to all policies and procedures set forth by the Toledo Zoo as well as state and local liquor agencies. Reports to Food Service Managers and Senior Food Service Managers as well as the Bartender Supervisor/Leader. This position is non-exempt part-time position under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The ideal candidate is a high-energy, customer-focused individual who thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for bartending during events, operating a Point-of-Sale system, and ensuring all policies and procedures are followed when serving beverages, handling inventory, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires setting up multiple bars, polishing glassware, and documenting consumption. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills are essential for success in this dynamic position.
