Position Summary: The bartender is responsible for providing high-quality service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Responsibilities include serving food and beverages, fulfilling guest needs, and processing payments.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Serve food and drinks using suggestive selling techniques.
2. Maintain thorough knowledge of menus and specials.
3. Ring drink orders into the computer and handle payments.
4. Prepare garnishments for drinks.
5. Operate the hotel computer system, Micros.
6. Perform opening and closing procedures, including side work.
7. Follow proper cash handling procedures and perform shift reconciliations.
8. Keep the bar clean and organized.
9. Comply with food handling and liquor laws.
10. Engage guests professionally and cordially.
11. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
12. Adhere to grooming standards.
13. Assist the food and beverage team as needed.
14. Resolve guest complaints and perform service recovery when necessary.
15. Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Previous bartending experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Hours Required: Vary based on hotel needs; typically 5-9 pm (Tue-Thu), 5-10 pm (Fri-Sat). Must be available on weekends and holidays.

Skills and Abilities:

• Pass TIPS certification/alcohol awareness and food handler training.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly.
