Job summary

Edgewater Golf Club in Lancaster, SC, is seeking a part-time bartender who will craft beverages, deliver welcoming service, and help create memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced hospitality setting. You will handle opening/closing duties, stock and inventory, and support seasonal cocktail development.

We require a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 months of related experience, familiarity with POS systems (POSITOUCH, MICROS), and fluent English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus 1–3 months related experience.
• Experience with POS systems (POSITOUCH, MICROS) preferred.
• Must be able to handle cash and maintain inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Stock bar, mix and serve beverages; assist in cost control and inventory.
• Create seasonal cocktails with management input and develop menu.
• Operate POS and manage banquet events and specials.
• Open and close duties including cash handling and cleaning.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and SOPs; communicate guest requests to management.

Edgewater Golf Club, located in Lancaster, SC, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Bartender! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

General Purpose

Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.

Essential Duties

• Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and
• maintains inventory records.
• Assists department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu
• Assists department leaders with Social Media schedule and creation of content
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food
• and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when
• supplies are needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures
• provided by the management.
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
• Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to inventory,
• cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.
• Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
• On occasion will serve meals to guests.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements

Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g. POSITOUCH and MICROS)

Physical Demands

Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.

Certificates/Licenses

ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

• Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace
