The Greggory in South Barrington is a new restaurant blending American classics with refined hospitality. Led by experienced restaurateurs, the bar operates in a lively, open-kitchen environment featuring live-fire cooking and a menu with prime beef, seafood, and handmade pastas.

We seek a bartender with at least 1 year of high-volume experience, ready to deliver memorable guest experiences, maintain beverage quality, and work with a friendly, energetic team in a daytime-to-evening schedule at

Qualifications

• 1+ years of bartending in a high-volume restaurant.
• Legally able to serve alcohol in City of Chicago area.
• Food safety knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing all guests with a memorable experience.
• Greeting guests and taking drink and food orders.
• Consistent drink preparation and making drinks for waitstaff.
• Staying attentive to guest needs at the bar.
• Delivering food from kitchen to guests.
• Ensuring orders are correct and presentable.
• Following health code standards for food handling.
• Performing shift duties (clearing, bussing, replenishing).

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Providing all Guests with a memorable experience
• Greeting guests and taking drink and food orders
• Consistent drink preparation
• Making drinks for waitstaff
• Staying attentive to the needs of guests at the bar
• Delivering food from the kitchen to the guests
• Ensuring the food order is made correctly by kitchen staff and looks presentable for guests
• Following health code standards with regards to the handling of food
• Performing shift duties like delivering racks of cups to the service station, rolling silverware, pre-bussing tables, wiping tables and removing debris and more

Requirements

• Standing for extended periods (8 hr shift)
• Practices safe alcohol service
• Legally of age to serve alcohol in City of Chicago
• Food safety knowledge
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Speed and finesse are a must
• Meets all company standards
• Maintain a positive attitude with self, guests, and teammates
• Completes all ongoing certifications/validations
• Maintains a clean Workspace
• Toast Experience preferred
• 1+ years of experience Bartending in a high Volume restaurant preferred
