Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, OH is seeking a Waterpark Bartender to deliver friendly, responsive service and craft high-quality beverages for our guests in the waterpark.

You will greet guests, take orders, operate the Micros POS, maintain a pristine bar area, and ensure safety and responsible service. At least 21 years old with prior beverage or restaurant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior restaurant/bartender/lounge experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate a Micros POS terminal and Phone system.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests feel welcome and receive friendly, courteous service.
• Greet guests, highlight specials, provide menu and beverage guidance, and suggest items.
• Take orders, enter into POS, relay to kitchen and bar.
• Maintain bar area and cleanliness, including glassware and garnishes.
• Monitor guests' alcohol consumption and intervene as needed.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aWaterparkBartender. In this role, you willprovide friendly,responsiveand consistent service to create a beyondexpectationfood and beverage experience for all guestsin the waterpark.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous serviceat all times.
• Greet guestsimmediately, inform them of specials, provide menu and beverage tours, and recommend items/drinks you genuinely feel guests will enjoy and advise on menu changes.
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter ordersinthe point-of-sale system whichrelaysorders to the kitchen and bar.
• Maintain bar area; including keeping the bar top/counters and well area neat and organized, ashtrays emptied and wiped out, dirty cocktail glasses removed,washedand sterilized; any napkins, coasters,strawsor discarded garnishes cleaned up.
• Be aware of guests’ rate of consumption of alcohol and its effect and take immediate corrective action to help the guest as well as to protect the interest of Kalahari Resorts and its associates.

WhatWe’reLooking For

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior restaurant/bartender/lounge experience in a full-service restaurant or beverage venue isa mustand/or background in the service industry is a plus.
• Ability to operate a Micros (cash register) terminal and Phone system
