Job summary

BB's Cajun Cantina seeks a friendly Bartender to create a welcoming dining and drinking experience. You will mix classic and innovative drinks, interact with guests and suggest menu items, while ensuring a spotless bar and compliance with regulations.

Position offers $5.50/hour plus tips with AM/PM shifts and a lively team atmosphere. Prior TABC certification is preferred, and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a restaurant bartender.
• Knowledge of drink mixing, garnishing and serving.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plan and present bar menu.
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Bartender to provide an excellent dining & drinking experience for our guests. Good Bartenders will be able to create a welcoming and fun atmosphere, serve our classic and innovative drinks, while doing their best to exceed our customers’ needs and expectations. Bartender compensation includes hourly pay and tips.

Responsibilities of the Bartender

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

Requirements and skills for successful Bartenders

• Resume and proven working experience as a restaurant Bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of a second language isa plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the barorganized, stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate (TABC)
