Job summary

Atma Hotel Group is hiring a Bartender to ensure guests are served professionally and efficiently in a hotel bar environment. The role involves stocking, beverage preparation, and coordinating with the food service team to deliver timely drinks and friendly service.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least one year of beverage service experience, plus the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Flexibility for weekends and late shifts is needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year prior F&B service experience.
• Must meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Knowledge of food health codes.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, liquor and common beverages.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to professionally handle guest complaints.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently with all departments.
• Willing to work flexible hours to include weekends, holidays and late nights.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
• MUST have a passion for providing “excellent” customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Make sure that all beverage displays are in accordance and consistent with standards.
• Make sure ice bins are full prior to opening for business.
• Ensure that beer and wine coolers are fully stocked prior to opening for business.
• Greet and serve all bar guests.
• Pour drinks, using standard pouring specifications.
• Serve drinks to service staff in a timely manner.
• Handle all payment transactions accurately and proficiently.
• Keep bar area neat, clean and orderly at all times.
• Double check all glassware for spots prior to pouring drinks.
• Ensure that no guest is served to the point of intoxication.
• Notify a manager if a guest is becoming intoxicated or rude to other guests.
• Serve food to bar patrons as requested.
• Follow uniform and grooming specifications.
• Participate as requested with the unpacking and stocking of deliveries.
• Ensure that all shift checklists are completed.

• Is visible in the bar area at all times during business hours.

Team Interaction

• Encourage and build mutual respect and cooperation among team members.


• Communicate effectively with all property team members.


• Respond in a timely manner to all members of the Management Team.


• Is professional and courteous towards team members at all times.

• Ensure that all brand standards are adhered to and that the brand culture is promoted within the department.
