Honorable Mention is hiring bartenders for our new Sports Bar opening in Portland, Oregon. The role focuses on delivering fast, consistent beverages in a clean and organized setting.

Bartenders will be responsible for executing bar prep, preparing cocktails, and maintaining inventory. We seek individuals who excel in guest service and teamwork, creating memorable experiences with a focused attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Strong cocktail fundamentals and knowledge of classic recipes.
• Familiarity with various wine, beer styles, and specific spirits.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Execute bar prep before service including juices and garnishes.
• Maintain back bar organization and cleanliness.
• Prepare both specialty and classic cocktails to specification.
• Provide knowledgeable beverage recommendations to guests.

Honorable Mention is seeking bartenders for our new Sports Bar concept opening late February/early March 2026.

Honorable Mention is an elevated sports bar delivering a refined yet approachable game-day experience. We offer curated cocktails, large-format TVs, and a comfortable, energetic atmosphere designed for connection and excitement. Our menu features thoughtfully crafted small-plate shareables alongside bold, show-stopping entrées meant to be enjoyed together. Role Summary

Bartenders at Honorable Mention are responsible for delivering fast, consistent, and elevated beverages while maintaining a clean, organized, and visually impressive bar.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all bar prep before service (juices, syrups, garnishes)
• Maintain and organize the back bar and speed rail
• Prepare specialty house cocktails and classic cocktails to spec
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests and servers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management
• Follow all alcohol service laws and safety guidelines
• Support servers with bar tickets during high-volume periods

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cocktail fundamentals and classic recipes
• Familiarity with wine, beer styles, and spirits (especially tequila & bourbon)
• Ability to work efficiently during rushes and games
• Attention to detail and consistency
• Professional, guest-facing demeanor
