Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Olympia in Olympia, WA is seeking a Bartender to join our team. You will prepare and provide food and beverages, beer, wine, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks; greet and engage guests at the bar; and maintain a clean, stocked bar area.

The role requires strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, physical stamina to stand for long periods, and a current food handlers permit.

Qualifications

• Must have a current food handlers permit.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Previous restaurant service experience is a plus.
• Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Pouring and serving beer and wine.
• Follow safe food handling and service practices at all times.
• Greeting, engaging, and serving guests seated at the bar.
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
• Wiping up spills.
• Keep the bar area cleaned and well stocked.
• Restocking items consistently throughout shift.
• Assist server and other Front of House staff with beverage orders.
• Listening and responding to guests' requests and complaints.
