Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Bartender at Salve Regina University. This on-call part-time role involves preparing and serving drinks, coordinating with servers, and delivering fast, accurate service. Prior guest-facing experience is helpful; a minimum age to serve alcohol is required.

Flexibility in shifts and availability is important, with opportunities to contribute to a larger hospitality team and gain benefits and training as part of Sodexo’s global organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year of relevant bartending/food service experience preferred.
• Must be of legal drinking age to serve alcohol per local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive guests, mix and serve drinks with/without alcohol and create recipes with proper garnishes.
• Ensure bar area is stocked with tools and products needed to mix and serve drinks.
• Prepare accurate initial counts and issue inventory or purchase orders to replenish supplies.
• Be cordial, diplomatic and attentive when dealing with guests.
• Significant walking or movement around the bar area.
• Ability to stand for long periods; shifts may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push/pull and lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Assist with arriving to work on time and attend scheduled shifts.
• Other tasks may be assigned and vary by location depending on client needs.
