Job summary

The Standard Grill in New York is seeking a Part-Time Bartender to manage guest relations at the bar with swift, uniform service and knowledge of wine and drinks. You will stock, prep garnishes, maintain bar aesthetics, and ensure consistent experiences for guests.

Strong English communication and ability to work flexible hours are required. As part of the Food and Beverage team, you will support daily operations, handle POS transactions, and contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment that

• Maintain cleanliness and design aesthetics of bar areas visible to guests.

Job Title:Part-Time Bartender

Job Purpose:

Bartenders are responsible for all aspects of guest relations service behind bar and related bar areas, including general upkeep of bar and providing swift, uniform and consistent service.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve and assist bar guests in a warm, sincere, accommodating and professional manner
• Serve beverage and menu items uniformly according to established standards, expectations and recipes
• Stock daily inventory taken
• Fill requisition sheet and give to manager
• Prep all fruits, garnishes, and juices and ensure its freshness
• Maintain cleanliness and design aesthetics of all areas, especially those visible to guests including bar top, glass selves, bar back, and service bar
• Complete all side work requirements, including pre and post shift, daily, and monthly duties
• Answer specific questions about food prep using culinary terminology and about Standard drink s in an articulate and detailed manner using technical and service aspects
• Swift, efficient, and uniform service of orders per drink ticket
• Provide level of service consistent with established standards in every aspect
• Perform other duties as requested by manager

Physical Requirements:

• Physical:
  • Able to work standing for a minimum period of 8 hours a day
  • Periodical bending, kneeling, and stretching
  • Able to pull, push, carry and lift at least 40 pounds of force
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands
  • Frequently required to work in a limited physical space with variable atmospheric conditions including the following areas: ventilation, lighting, smoke, and temperature.
• Excellent knowledge of all bar products with a focus on wine and menu products
• Excellent knowledge of POS system
• Understanding: Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions according to established procedures
• Comprehension: Fluent in the English language
• Organizational Skills: Work efficiently, utilize multi-tasking, prioritize tasks
• Hygiene and Sanitation: Adherence to uniform, grooming and personal hygiene standards and expectations per SOP’s
• Punctuality: Adherence to posted schedule and arrival time and attendance at mandatory meetings when scheduled
• Responsibility: Personal comportment in line with Standard, New York policies, standards, and expectations

Compensation & Benefits:

• $17 per hour plus tips - Part-Time
