Job summary

The SMITH in New York, NY is seeking a friendly Bartender to welcome guests, mix drinks, and deliver an exceptional bar and dining room experience. You will follow standard recipes, maintain cleanliness, and ensure responsible service while collaborating with the Smith team.

• Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes.
• Maintain responsible alcohol service and ensure compliance at all times.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service throughout their experience.
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked.
• Uphold food safety, handling, and sanitation standards.

THE POSITION: BARTENDER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome each guest at the bar and create an inviting environment
• Communicate with guests in a warm, professional manner, ensuring they feel valued and well cared for
• Work collaboratively with all Smith team members to support a seamless guest experience
• Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for both bar and dining room guests, following standard recipes
• Maintain a strong understanding of responsible alcohol service and ensure compliance at all times
• Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, proactive service throughout their experience
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service
• Uphold all food safety, handling, and sanitation standards to ensure the safety of guests and team members
