Job summary

Longboat Key Club seeks Bartenders for banquet and restaurant service to join a team dedicated to guest experience and service excellence.

You will mix cocktails, maintain a clean bar, handle cash and orders, and assist with stocking and setup for events. Prior experience in high-volume or fine dining bars is preferred. This full-time role supports club operations with excellent service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required.
• Hospitality or related industry experience.
• Previous experience in high-volume, fine dining bar-tending or banquet bar-tending.

Responsibilities

• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Follow proper cash handling procedures.
• Complete beverage orders and supplies.
• Arrange bottles and glasses for attractive display.
• Maintain a clean and neat bar area.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishes.
• Wash bar glasses and dishes.
• Check IDs and comply with laws.
• Upsell food and beverage products.
• Answer questions and handle special requests.
• Provide information and directions.

Compensation

Essential Functions

• Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
• Follow proper cash handling procedures
• Complete orders for beverages and supplies
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display
• Maintain a clean and neat work area
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
• Wash bar glasses/dishes
• Checks ID for all guests and complies with state and federal laws
• Demonstrates effective sales techniques to up-sell food and beverage products
• Response to questions and special requests
• Provides information and directions
• Other reasonable duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required
• Hospitality or related industry experience
• Previous experience in high-volume, fine dining bar-tending or banquet bar-tending

Physical Requirements

• Standing for 8-10 hours shifts
• Pulling, pushing, carrying boxes up to 25 lbs.
