Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts seeks a bartender/beverage server to maintain the bar setup, stock fresh garnishes, greet guests, and promote drink orders while ensuring compliance with all alcohol regulations. You will input orders at the POS and handle cashier procedures, closing duties, and occasionally table service as needed.

Applicants must hold a Certified Food Handler and an Alcohol Awareness Cert, and demonstrate reliability with regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily, including requisitioning and stocking beverages and bar supplies.
• Stock and prepare fresh garnishes, juices and perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Greet guests kindly, promote and document drink orders, mix and garnish using standard recipes with portion control.
• Comply with all state, federal and corporate alcohol serving requirements.
• Enter orders at the POS, create checks for each guest, and maintain accountability for beverages served.
• Follow cashier processes and procedures as required by the company.
• Lock up and store all beverages and equipment, perform side work and cleaning duties.
• Be available to work regularly and maintain attendance.
• Assist with table service in the restaurant area when needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the forecast.

2. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.

3. Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.

4. Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.

5. Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served.

6. Follow all company cashier processes and procedures

7. Locks up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, completes necessary side work and cleaning duties.

8. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

9. Ability to service tables in restaurant area as needed.
