Job summary

Yardbird in Las Vegas is seeking a skilled Bartender to deliver exceptional beverage experiences to our guests. You will craft expertly mixed drinks and share your bourbon knowledge while providing warm Southern hospitality in a fast-paced setting.

Previous high-volume dining experience is required; certifications in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) are encouraged to support safe service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Bartender in a high-volume restaurant or bar.
• Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, classic cocktails, and beverage trends.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure with attention to detail.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service preferred (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe).

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage service to all guests at the bar.
• Complete understanding of all food and beverage items.
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service practices and comply with regulations.
• Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks per standard recipes.
• Peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishes.
• Process transactions using the POS system and prepare checks.
• Arrange glasses and bottles and maintain bar top aesthetics.
• Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas.
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor inventory and restock bar inventory.
• Maintain knowledge of spirits, wine and beer.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Provide food and beverage service to all guests at the bar
• Complete understanding of all food and beverage items
• Check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service practices and ensure compliance with all local and state regulations.
• Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
• Peel, slice and pit fruit safely for garnishing drinks
• TAM and ACT Certified and guidelines followed to ensure no guests are overserved
• Process transactions using the POS system, prepare checks for customers, and process customer payments
• Arrange glasses and bottles into attractive and functional displays and manages the aesthetic of the bar top
• Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas
• Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies
• Monitor inventory, and restock bar inventory
• High level knowledge of standard drink recipes
• High level knowledge of spirits, wine and beer
• Understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names and garnishes
• Able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods

Requirements
