Job summary

Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated is seeking a bartender to welcome guests, describe specials and upsell menu items. You will use POS systems, handle payments and maintain a clean service area to ensure a welcoming experience across each shift.

Ideal candidates have prior customer service or F&B experience, strong English communication, and a willingness to obtain required alcohol certifications. On-site role with benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Customer service and/or food and beverage service experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong guest relations skills and the ability to answer guest inquiries.
• Ability to learn cash-handling procedures and use point-of-sale computers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Comprehensive menu knowledge and the ability to recommend and upsell items.
• Serve Safe, TIPS or other applicable state alcohol certification, or the ability to obtain required certification through HICV.
• It’s a plus if you have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, explain specials, answer questions and recommend food and beverage products.
• Take and accurately enter orders using point-of-sale computers while coordinating timing for service.
• Serve food and beverages while checking back regularly to support guest satisfaction.
• Process payments accurately, prepare itemized checks, collect cash and provide change.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest needs or service concerns.
• Pre-bus tables by removing used dishes, utensils, glasses and trash throughout service.
• Complete assigned pre-shift and post-shift side work as directed by the manager.
