Job description

Job Title: Bartender

Department: Catering

Reports To: Assistant Dir. F&B / Director of F & B

FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Pay Rate: $19.07

SUMMARY:

Savor/ASM Global/SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Bartender at accesso ShoWare Center in Kent. This position is responsible for selling and making alcoholic drinks for guests according to Washington State Law.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Input drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served, and make change.
2. Accurately account for all sales, discounts, and promotions in the P.O.S. system according to company cash handling procedures.
3. Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of the bar and dining room following standard recipes.
4. Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
5. Serve wine and draught or bottled beer.
6. Arrange bottles and glasses to make an attractive display.
7. Interact with all customers in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner. Build rapport with regular guests to create a positive atmosphere.
8. Be responsible for the cleanliness of the bar area and glassware.
9. Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills with guests and co-workers.
10. Adhere to accesso ShoWare Center/ASM Global/SMG’s cash handling, food service, and alcohol service policies.
11. Verify identification and age requirement of customers.
12. Open and maintain tabs throughout the shift.
13. Any other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

1. Minimum of 2 years bartending experience is required.
2. Must have current and valid Food Handler’s and Class 12 mixology permits.
3. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
4. Position requires prolonged standing, constant moving, occasional climbing of stairs, and lifting up to 35lbs regularly.
5. Communicate, both written and verbal, in English is required.
6. Experience in an arena environment is a plus.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to join the 401K after working 1000 hours in a 365-day period. Holidays worked are paid at time and a half. Sick Time is accrued at 1 hour for every 30 worked and can be used in 2-hour increments or more. Employees (and family) will be eligible for Medical, Dental & Vision benefits when completing 1560 hours in a 365-day time frame.
