Qualifications

Job Summary: Brooksider is seeking part-time and full-time skilled customer-focused bartenders to join our fast-paced team. In this role, you will prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering excellent service to our guests. You will maintain a clean and organized bar area, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with all local food and alcohol safety regulations. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, thrives under pressure, and brings a positive energy to every shift.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests, present drink menus, and answer questions about food and beverage offerings.
• Mix, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and house rules.
• Check identification to confirm guests meet the minimum legal age for purchasing alcohol.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and process payments using the point of sale system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bar area, including washing glassware and sanitizing work surfaces.
• Monitor guest behavior and responsibly manage intoxication levels in accordance with legal guidelines.
• Restock bar inventory, including liquor, beer, wine, ice, garnishes, and paper products.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash drawer reconciliation and thorough area cleaning.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working as a bartender in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of classic cocktail recipes, beer, wine, and liquor spirits.
• Strong communication and active listening skills with a commitment to high-quality guest service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently under pressure.
• Valid state-required responsible alcohol service certification (such as TIPS or ServSafe) where required.
• Basic math skills and experience operating point-of-sale (POS) terminal software.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, lift heavy kegs or cases, and bend or stretch repeatedly.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business demand requires.
