Job summary

Bastion Hospitality LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Bartender to join our team of service leaders. You will prepare and serve cocktails and beverages behind the bar, following our restaurant brand standards and guest needs.

The role requires 2–3 years of restaurant experience, a High School Diploma, and knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of bar/restaurant experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree in Hospitality or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, wines, craft beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to read, speak and interpret English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic or soft drinks behind the bar and for guests at the bar.
• Be responsible for beverage service across bar and dining room areas.
• Set up, break down, maintain inventory and cleanliness of the bar area.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer.
• Participate in weekly bar inventory.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Bartender to join our exceptional team of service leaders. This role is responsible for always providing prompt and friendly food and beverage service to our guests by following the standards of the Restaurant Brand.

Your Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently prepares and serves alcoholic or soft drink beverages behind the bar, including our all cocktail recipes and wine selections, and provides service to our guests wishing to dine at the bar.
• Responsible for beverage service of all areas of the bar and dining room.
• Proper set-up and break-down, inventory of supplies, and cleanliness of the bar area.
• Maintains accurate cash drawer
• Participates in weekly bar inventory

Your Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a restaurant or establishment of similar caliber.
• High School Diploma, or equivalent level of education, required (Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure)
• Associate’s Degree in Hospitality or equivalent Certification
• Must be knowledgeable on a wide range of cocktail recipes, wine varietals, craft beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Food Handlers Safety Certificate Preferred
• Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the restaurant in a timely basis.
• Must have manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
