Job summary

The Greenleigh River Oaks in Houston is hiring a Bartender for summer 2026 launch. You will deliver high-quality beverage experiences at banquets and events, set up and break down bar stations, and ensure polished, guest-focused service.

The role blends technical drink skills with hospitality in a fast-paced venue environment. Ideal candidates have banquet/event bartending experience, strong knowledge of cocktails and service, and a valid TABC certification, with flexible hours including

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages for banquets and catered events.
• Set up/break down bar stations per BEOs.
• Keep bar areas clean, stocked, and organized.
• Maintain knowledge of drink recipes and offerings.
• Provide friendly, attentive service and monitor responsible service.
• Verify IDs and ensure compliance with alcohol laws.
• Assist with inventory and restocking; collaborate with teams.

At The Greenleigh, the bar is more than a place- it's an experience. The Bartender plays a key role in bringing the restaurant's energy to life through expertly crafted beverages, thoughtful service, and an engaging guest presence.

This role blends technical skill with genuine hospitality, creating memorable moments while delivering consistent, high-quality beverage experiences.

Requested Tasks

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for banquet and catered events
• Set up and break down bar stations according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
• Ensure bar areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked before, during, and after events
• Maintain knowledge of drink recipes, wine, beer, and specialty cocktails
• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to guests
• Monitor guest consumption and adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines
• Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol laws and regulations
• Assist with inventory tracking and restocking of bar supplies
• Collaborate with Banquet and Catering teams to ensure smooth event flow
• Handle guest requests and resolve issues with professionalism and care

Requested Capabilities

• Prior bartending experience in banquets, events, or hospitality settings preferred
• Knowledge of beverage preparation, cocktail recipes, and bar operations
• Valid alcohol service certification required (TABC or equivalent)
• Strong communication and guest service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Professional, polished, and approachable demeanor
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods during events
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds (e.g., kegs, cases, bar supplies)
