Job summary

FoxFire Restaurant & Steakhouse in Geneva, Illinois is seeking dependable Bartenders who can provide warm, professional hospitality while preparing drinks accurately and efficiently.

No bartending experience is required—we will train the right person. Strong teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn our cocktail and beverage programs are essential. Flexible weekend availability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cocktails, wine, beer and other beverages according to FoxFire standards.
• Use jiggers and proper measurements for all drinks.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of FoxFire’s cocktail program.
• Develop working knowledge of our extensive wine list.
• Make recommendations to guests and provide friendly bar service.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and guest payments accurately.
• Maintain organized, stocked bar during the shift.
• Complete opening, closing, stocking, and cleaning duties.
• Restock liquor, wine, beer, glassware, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
• Maintain clean bar tops, wells, equipment, and service areas.
• Follow responsible alcohol-service procedures.
• Work closely with servers, bussers, hosts, managers, and kitchen staff.
• Help fellow team members when needed.

Bartender

FoxFire Restaurant & Steakhouse is looking for dependable, personable, team-oriented Bartenders to join our front-of-house team.
FoxFire is a chef-driven steakhouse with a large wine program and a strong craft cocktail and beverage program. Our bartenders are expected to provide warm, professional hospitality while preparing drinks consistently, accurately, and efficiently.
Experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are willing to train motivated candidates who have the right personality, work ethic, and desire to learn.

Bartender Responsibilities

Bartenders are responsible for:

• Preparing cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages according to FoxFire standards
• Using jiggers and proper measurements for all cocktails and mixed drinks
• Learning and maintaining knowledge of FoxFire’s cocktail program
• Developing working knowledge of our extensive wine list
• Making wine, cocktail, and beverage recommendations to guests
• Providing knowledgeable and friendly bar service
• Handling cash, credit cards, checks, and guest payments accurately
• Maintaining an organized and properly stocked bar throughout the shift
• Completing opening, closing, stocking, and cleaning duties
• Restocking liquor, wine, beer, glassware, mixers, garnishes, and supplies
• Maintaining clean bar tops, wells, coolers, equipment, shelving, and service areas
• Following responsible alcohol-service procedures
• Working closely with servers, bussers, hosts, managers, and kitchen staff
• Helping fellow team members whenever needed

Physical Requirements

Bartenders must be able to:

• Stand and work for approximately 6 hours or more
• Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Bend, reach, carry, stock, and clean throughout the shift
• Work efficiently in a busy restaurant and bar environment

Schedule & Availability

FoxFire is open Monday through Sunday.
Typical bartender shifts include:
Monday–Thursday:
Approximately 3:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Friday & Saturday:
Approximately 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
or
5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Sunday:
Approximately 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Weekend availability is important, particularly Friday and Saturday evenings.

Experience

No bartending experience is required — we will train the right person.
Previous restaurant, bartending, serving, wine, or hospitality experience is a plus.
