Bartender

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

1. Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking orders.
2. Informing customers about new beverages and specials.
3. Being knowledgeable of all menu items, their contents, and preparation methods to accurately respond to customer questions, make recommendations, and upsell where appropriate.
4. Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
5. Checking identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol.
6. Providing responsible service of alcoholic beverages, complying with all local, state, and federal liquor laws and food safety regulations.
7. Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked.
8. Preparing and serving menu items according to Fogo de Chão recipes and guidelines, using proper equipment and ingredients.
9. Handling multiple tables and tasks efficiently, cleaning and clearing tables.
10. Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate, returning correct change, and balancing the cash register.
11. Educating oneself and assisting co-workers in understanding basic bar vocabulary, including wine and liquor varieties, types of mixed drinks, etc.
12. Performing all reasonable tasks assigned by management.

Physical Demands

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for prolonged hours. Must have a high level of endurance and mental acuity to manage conflict and handle high-stress situations successfully.

Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance are available for full-time, hourly team members starting the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Additionally, company-paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability are provided where allowed. Part-Time team members are offered a Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Health plan, along with Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, and Life Insurance. Coverage can start as early as the first of the month following your hire date. Part-Time team members are also eligible for voluntary benefits, including Pet Insurance, Legal, and ID Protection.
