Job summary

Cherokee Nation Entertainment is seeking a Bartender to join our casino hospitality team. You will craft drinks, manage your bar station, and ensure compliance with alcohol safety, delivering friendly and efficient guest service.

You must be 21+, able to obtain necessary licenses and food handler credentials, and able to stand for long periods with occasional lifting. Shift flexibility includes weekends and holidays as part of a dynamic gaming environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year related experience or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to obtain a food handler’s card.
• Ability to pass all alcohol awareness training.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
• Ability to obtain a state-issued alcoholic beverage license.
• Standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests and casino patrons, following standardized drink recipes.
• Adhere to all alcohol safety standards, check IDs, and prevent over-serving while providing excellent guest service.
• Stock bar supplies for the next shift; clean, wash, and stock glassware and bar equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness at your station and shared areas; foster a fun, friendly, and safe environment.
• Process guest payments and handle monetary transactions for beverages and services.

This role requires a strong understanding of drink recipes, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient bar.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to cocktail servers and casino guests. Adhere strictly to standardized drink recipes.


• Follow all alcohol safety standards, including checking identification to ensure minimum drinking age requirements are met and preventing over-serving guests. Provide excellent guest service to both external and internal guests.


• Ensure high-quality beverages are served. Stock supplies for the next shift, and clean, wash, and stock all glassware and bar supplies.


• Uphold cleanliness standards for your station and shared areas of responsibility. Promote a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment ("The Big Six").


• Perform financial transactions and process guest payments for goods and services delivered.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Must be at least 21 years of age.


• Ability to obtain a food handler’s card.

• Ability to obtain a state-issued alcoholic beverage license.


• Requires standing for long periods, frequent bending and kneeling. Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
