Overview
Responsible for setting up and maintaining the bar, mixing cocktails for guests and servers, and ensuring quality service and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Prepare cocktails, beverages, and garnishes according to standards for mixing, portion control, and presentation.
- Follow prescribed procedures when serving liquor to prevent issues with intoxicated guests and report any problems to management.
- Comply with company standards and regulations to keep the lounge and hotel operations clean and safe.
- Perform cashier functions, including collecting cash, processing checks, credit cards, and room charges according to standards.
- Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards, including wearing the provided uniform and name tag.
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to scheduling needs of the hotel.
- Approach guests promptly and courteously when taking or serving food and beverages.
- Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels, clean and stock glassware, and check soda tanks for proper operation.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to work well under stress in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Ability to anticipate, identify, prevent, and solve problems.
- Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to listen, understand, clarify, and resolve concerns from coworkers and guests.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).
- Mathematical, financial, and data skills (preferred).
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
