Derby Dinner Playhouse is seeking a friendly, fast-paced Bartender to craft beverages and deliver exceptional guest service in a high-volume setting. You will thrive during pre-show and intermission rushes while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and accuracy with orders.

Requirements include at least 1 year of bartending experience, strong communication and multitasking skills, and be at least 21. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest requests.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including restocking and sanitizing tools.

• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Work efficiently during pre-show and intermission rushes.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service.
• Assist with inventory control and product rotation.

Our Bartenders are responsible for crafting beverages quickly and accurately while providing exceptional guest service in a high-volume, entertainment-driven environment. This role requires a friendly personality, strong multitasking skills, and the ability to keep composure and efficiency during busy pre-show and intermission rushes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest requests
• Provide excellent service with a welcoming and engaging attitude
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including restocking, wiping surfaces, and sanitizing tools.
• Verify guest identification and comply with all alcohol service laws
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using the POS system
• Work efficiently during high-traffic periods such as pre-show and intermission
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service
• Assist with inventory control, including restocking and product rotation
• Collaborate with theatre and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience
