The Whitehall Hotel in Chicago is seeking an experienced bartender to mix and serve drinks and food, greet guests, and ensure a welcoming dining environment. You will work with staff to take orders, handle cash, and maintain the bar area to high standards.
Responsibilities include verifying IDs, preparing cocktails, and balancing cash receipts. Flexible scheduling and exceptional customer service are essential for this role in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Mix and serve drinks and food to patrons, directly or through wait staff. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Excellent decision-making ability and analytical skills. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early and late shifts, weekends and holidays.
