Sun Communities, Inc. is seeking a Bartender for Palm Creek Resort & Residences in Casa Grande, AZ. This seasonal, full-time role involves bar setup, drink preparation, guest service and bar area upkeep.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, at least 6 months bartending experience, professional appearance and strong customer service. Valid driver's license and basic computer skills are needed. Certification in TIPS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks identification of guests to verify age for alcohol purchase (Essential).
• Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered, timely and per standards (Essential).
• Operates cash register and processes payments accurately (Essential).
• Monitors alcohol intake and arranges transportation for intoxicated patrons (Essential).
• Operates in compliance with federal, state and local alcohol laws (Essential).
• Greets customers and takes beverage orders from restaurant servers (Essential).
• Performs shift opening/closing duties as directed by the Restaurant Manager (Essential).
• Presents menus, takes orders and serves food to bar guests (Essential).
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains the bar area and equipment (Essential).
• Prepares garnishes, stocks beverages and garnishments (Essential).
• Other duties as assigned (Essential).

Palm Creek Resort & Residences Casa Grande, AZ, US Seasonal Full Time $17 per hour

Overview Bartenders provide excellent service to bar guests. They set-up the bar area, prepare and mix beverages, serve customers, and maintain the cleanliness of the bar area.

Job Duties

• Checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol (Essential)


• Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered, in a timely manner and in compliance with company standards (Essential)


• Operates cash register and receives payment from customer in cash or credit card, and accurately counts and provides change to customers when applicable (Essential)


• Monitors the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting the sale to those who are intoxicated. Orders taxis or other means of transportation for intoxicated patrons (Essential)


• Operates in compliance with federal, state and local law requirements for serving alcohol (Essential)


• Greets customers and takes beverage orders for guests from restaurant servers


• Performs shift opening and closing duties as directed by the Restaurant Manager


• Presents menus, takes orders and serves food to guests seated at the bar


• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains bar area including counters and equipment


• Prepares garnishes, stocks, and replenishes beverages and garnishment supply as needed


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 6 months in previous bartending experience (Required)


• Professional appearance


• Excellent customer service and communication skills


• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet


• Must have a valid driver's license
