Position Summary

As a Bartender, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences by preparing and serving beverages, educating guests on offerings, and maximizing sales through upselling and promotions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a bartender in a fast-paced, high-volume environment or relevant experience
• Strong work ethic, team spirit, and guest service skills
• Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
• Problem-solving skills and professionalism
• Ability to navigate venue conditions, including tight spaces and loud environments
• Knowledge of wine, craft beer, and spirits
• Polished presentation and ability to follow directions
• Independent and team work skills
• Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and basic math; POS operation skills
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provide positive guest interactions from greeting to departure
• Take orders, serve food and drinks, handle transactions
• Upsell and promote the City Winery brand and events
• Perform opening and closing duties efficiently
• Assess guest needs and recommend products
• Follow health and safety regulations, including alcohol laws
• Handle cash accurately and follow cash procedures
• Serve beverages properly and communicate allergen info
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of work areas
• Attend trainings and meetings
• Adhere to policies, dress code, and appearance standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
