CAMS is part of the Associa family. Blue Ridge Mountain Club, a beautiful private mountain community in Boone, NC, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced bartender to provide an excellent guest experience. Compensation includes a base rate of $17.00‑19.00 and tips.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non‑alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Serve patrons with food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plan and present bar menu.
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Present ordered choices in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Prepare room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
• Protect the establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons’ choices and identifying patrons’ special dietary needs and special requests.
• Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
• Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return. Obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.

Requirements

• General math skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
• Relevant training certificate.

We have a service charge in lieu of tips at Blue Ridge Mountain Club which allows us to pay a higher hourly wage. Patrons may choose to tip as they wish, and tips will be added to a tip pool and distributed evenly amongst the waitstaff who worked during that shift.
