Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Bartender for our Boise, ID store location. The Bartender will handle bar service, assist customers, and manage cash transactions while ensuring safety and compliance with liquor policies.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of bartending experience, a valid Bartender License, and excellent communication skills. This is an hourly role with responsibilities across customer service, wine/beverage knowledge, and inventory awareness.

PURPOSE:
The Bartender is familiar with a wide variety of drink recipes and can deliver excellent customer services. Responsible for maintaining a culture of food and drink exploration, innovation and dedication for customers and employees. The Bartender is responsible for serving patrons at our bar, monitoring the cash drawer at the bar and performing alcohol inventories at the end of each night to help maintain proper inventory levels.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must maintain state Food Handler’s Permit.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Bartender
• Must maintain a current Bartender License.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Interact with customers in a professional manner. Greeting customers with finesse and charm.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of Word Perfect and Excel is preferred.
• Willing to be educated further about wines and beers.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions, and ability to read, retain and comprehend.
• Ability to use basic math skills.
• Self-motivated professional with a drive to increase knowledge of Albertsons products.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be organized, detail oriented, accurate and have good time management skills.
• Ability to multitask while working under stress and time constraints.
• Reports to work in proper uniform per company policy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
