The Salt Line Bethesda is looking for BAR TEAM!

The Salt Line Bethesda is the third location in the DMV for the extremely successful and beloved DC born "New England meets the Chesapeake" oyster and seafood restaurant. Opening on July 11th, 2023, The Salt Line Bethesda's beautiful bar and lounge area has been a smash since day one and instantly became the downtown hot spot for Bethesda and beyond.

Our bar teams work hard, take pride in what we do, treat our guests like friends, and have fun while doing it! We have a reputation at our bars for building very strong and loyal regular neighborhood followings and so we are actively looking for bar professionals to join this bar team who will be focused on doing the same in our newest neighborhood of Bethesda. Ideal candidates have both fine dining and high volume experience; are reliable, efficient and organized; are excellent TEAM players (pooled house), and truly enjoy providing memorable guest experiences. Candidates bring a positive and professional approach to the position and possess a genuine passion and enthusiasm for hospitality and the restaurant business.

Our beverage program boasts a creative but approachable cocktail program alongside an eclectic wine list and an excellent craft beer list drawing heavily from NE & local breweries. We partner with local distillers and breweries to highlight what makes the DMV area so special while also bringing in classic names that make New England beer and spirits so noteworthy.

Little bit about us: The original The Salt Line opened in spring of 2017 across the street from Nats park in the up and coming Navy Yard neighborhood. It was an immediate hit and quickly established itself as one of the most acclaimed and busiest bars and restaurants in Washington DC. Both loved casual neighborhood go-to and upscale fine dining destination, TSL has received numerous accolades including a coveted three stars from the Washington Post's Tom Sietsema. the 2019 Rammy for Chef of the Year to Kyle Bailey, and the 2020 Rammy for Favorite Gathering Place.

Building on the success of The Salt Line (DC), Long Shot Hospitality opened its second The Salt Line in the bustling and energetic Ballston, VA neighborhood. Opening in October 2021, TSL #2 also opened to immediate success and accolades right from the start, from both press and local residents alike. Already after just one year, The Salt Line Ballston has established itself as a cornerstone of the neighborhood and is considered one of the top restaurants the Ballston/Northern Virginia dining scene.

The Salt Line Bethesda is number three in the growing The Salt Line (TSL) family with plans to slowly but steadily continue to grow the brand. Excellent opportunity for bar/beverage development and career advancement for the right candidates.

Desired Qualifications:

• Ideally 1-2 years of relevant high volume/upscale dining server experience
• Basic professional level of knowledge of food, beverage and wine service
• TIPS or other alcohol service training a plus!
• Positive attitude and friendly disposition
• Professional, punctual, reliable
• Team oriented mindset - we are a pooled house
• Minimum of three shifts of availability
• Must be comfortable being on your feet for extended periods of time and working both indoors and outdoors
