Job summary

Remington Hospitality is seeking a bar professional to manage daily bar operations, maintain liquor inventories, and prepare requisitions as needed. You will use POS systems to charge guests accurately, know drink recipes, glassware, and garnishes, and ensure proper cash handling and tipping procedures.

The role requires excellent guest service, prompt responses to guest needs, and effective resolution of complaints to uphold satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Familiar with different kinds of liquor, recipes, prices, glassware and garnishes.
• Know drink recipes, prices and beverages available.
• Skilled in cash handling, MICROS or similar registers, bank procedures and tipping policies.
• Able to charge guests accurately and ensure proper intake of all monies.
• Proactive in anticipating guest needs and maintaining positive guest relations.
• Capable of resolving guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Formal liquor liability training within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter.

Job description

• Efficiently maintain bar supplies, including preparation of daily requisition, as necessary.
• Must be completely familiar with all the different kinds of liquor, recipes and prices of drinks, proper glassware used for each recipe, as well as garnishes needed.
• Know drink recipes, prices and type of beverages available.
• Be familiar with accurate cash handling procedures to include proper discounting, MICROS system (or registers), bank procedures and tip policies. Responsible for accurately charging the guests for drinks. Responsible for accurate intake of all the monies.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, maintaining positive guest relations at all times.
• Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction.
• Be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter.
