The Dixboro Project is a sprawling visionary concept in the historic village of Dixboro, Michigan. Our spaces invite you to experience the intersection of world-class dining, transformational hospitality, and abundant nature. The Dixboro House is the restaurant arm of this unique project - carved out of the bones of the original barn structure originally erected in 1880. The century old barn has been restored to feature exposed 140 year old timbers, a gambrel vaulted ceiling and the original stone fireplace, and modern kitchen providing a familiar comfort to our guests.

Our Bartenders are leaders of service and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. In this high-volume, guest-facing position, they create expertly crafted beverages while providing warm, personalized service to guests and staff alike. They serve as influential leaders, embodying hospitality and striving for excellence.

What You’ll Do:
  • Welcome guests warmly and guide them through their experience at the bar.
  • Demonstrate expertise in beverage preparation, service techniques, and menu offerings.
  • Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate efficient bar service.
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, detail-oriented service with a sense of urgency.
  • Communicate effectively with management and fellow staff regarding guest feedback or incidents.
  • Adhere to company, location, and health department procedures and policies.
  • Contribute to a positive work culture by focusing on self-improvement and supporting team growth.
  • Perform opening, running, and closing side work diligently, ensuring the bar is well-prepared and stocked.
  • Be an expert on our beverage offerings, able to showcase your knowledge to our guests and spearhead salesmanship on the team
Requirements
  • Possess at least 1 year experience in crafting cocktails in a restaurant setting.
  • Able to memorize recipes and adhere to proper ingredient portioning.
  • Excel in high-volume environments, executing tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team setting, taking direction as needed.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and refuse to compromise on standards.
  • Consistently deliver reliable performance.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and remain on feet for extended periods of time, often 6–10 hours per shift.
  • Frequent walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and turning throughout the shift.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and maneuvering of items weighing up to 25–35 pounds, including cases of liquor, beer kegs, ice buckets, glass racks, and bar supplies.
