Torsap Thai Kitchen in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an experienced bartender/server to craft traditional cocktails, beer, wine, and signature drinks while delivering friendly, efficient service.

Join our team to welcome guests, take orders, handle payments at a POS, and maintain a clean, well-stocked bar and dining area. Flexibility for part-time or full-time shifts is available, with opportunities for daily tips and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mixology, beer, and wine, with POS system experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand long shifts and multitask in a high-volume bar.
• Valid server certifications such as TIPS or Food Handler permit.

Responsibilities

• Craft traditional cocktails, beer, wine, and signature drinks quickly and accurately following standard recipes.
• Welcome guests, take food and drink orders, provide menu recommendations, and maintain a friendly, clean environment.
• Process payments accurately, operate the POS system, reconcile cash drawers, and split guest checks upon request.
• Keep the bar area clean, sanitized, and fully stocked with ice, glassware, garnishes, and liquors before, during, and after shifts.
• Verify guest ages strictly to prevent underage drinking and responsibly manage alcohol consumption levels to ensure guest safety.

• Beverage Preparation & Service: Craft traditional cocktails, beer, wine, and signature drinks quickly and accurately following standard recipes.
• Guest Experience & Order Taking: Welcome guests, take food and drink orders, provide menu recommendations, and maintain a friendly, clean environment.
• Cashiering & Payment Handling: Process payments accurately, operate the POS system, reconcile cash drawers, and split guest checks upon request.
• Bar Maintenance & Prep: Keep the bar area clean, sanitized, and fully stocked with ice, glassware, garnishes, and liquors before, during, and after shifts.
• Compliance & ID Checks: Verify guest ages strictly to prevent underage drinking and responsibly manage alcohol consumption levels to ensure guest safety.

Skills

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mixology, beer, and wine, along with proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems (GoTab, 7shifts).
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, customer service, conflict resolution, and teamwork abilities.
• Physical Stamina & Multitasking: Capability to stand for long shifts, lift heavy objects (e.g., kegs, cases of liquor), and prioritize tasks under high-volume pressure.
• Certifications: Valid state or local server certifications (e.g., TIPS certification, Food Handler’s Permit, or state alcohol permit).
